SJ's Friends is inspired by our son SJ. Our journey began as a thought and a deep desire to be more present and active in his life, while also extending the same level of care to other children in the community. Navigating our son SJ’s autism journey has been a deeply personal and transformative experience. It has given us a profound understanding of the challenges, joys, and unique needs that come with raising a neurodivergent child. Through this journey, we have learned the importance of patience, advocacy, and creating an environment where every child feels seen, understood, and supported.

This experience ignited a passion in us to help other children and families who may be walking a similar path. We know firsthand how valuable it is to have a safe, nurturing space where children can thrive and parents feel supported. That’s why we founded SJ's Friends Family Child Care, to provide a place where all children, including those with autism and other developmental differences, can learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Our goal is to not only care for children but to be a resource for families, offering understanding, encouragement, and a community that truly embraces every child’s uniqueness.
